Editorial policy
Who writes what is here, what may never appear, and the rules the writing is held to.
Independence
- No facility pays to be listed, to rank higher, or to have anything changed or removed.
- No enquiry, quote or patient detail is collected on behalf of any clinic. There is no lead form on this site.
- No advertising is sold against a clinic's record.
- Outbound links to clinics' own sites do not pass ranking signals.
Who writes
The 35 guides are written and reviewed by the HealthTurkey editorial team. No guide is presented as clinically reviewed and no individual clinician is named as a reviewer, because none has reviewed them. Every guide carries the date it was last reviewed and the sources that were checked.
Rules the writing is held to
- Every figure is sourced. A number that cannot be traced to a named, reachable source is removed rather than softened.
- No superlatives. Best, leading, premium, world-class, guaranteed and their relatives do not appear as claims. A published check rejects a draft that uses them.
- No named clinic is called good or bad. Not in a guide, not in a comparison, not as an example. Guides name no clinic and no doctor at all.
- No prices. Anywhere.
- No medical advice. The guides explain what to ask and what a term means. They do not tell a reader what treatment to have.
- Absence is never presented as proof. A clinic missing from a search is not described as unauthorised.
When the evidence is not there
Where the published literature does not support a comparison, the guide says so instead of picking a side. Three of the current guides do exactly that. A guide that says "there is no good evidence either way" is doing its job.
